3. What do the dues pay for?
The dues are used to pay for the Holiday Dinner Party and the End of Year Dinner Meeting, as well as refreshments for the general meetings. They also subsidize the cost associated with children’s parties, adult activities and the end of year Family Picnic. Additionally, we have referral lists for contractors and doctors as well as a forum to ask for suggestions/advice. Great way to get information from people you trust!

4. I don’t have kids/I have older children. Will Cranford Newcomers have any activities for me?
Yes! We have a monthly book club and an active adult activities committee so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet and socialize with adults. We sometimes also have community service events through our advocacy committee. There are many ways for you to be involved if you do not have kids or if your kids are too old to participate in our family activities.

5. I’ve lived here for awhile now, and not technically a “newcomer”. Can I still join?
Absolutely yes! We have many members who have lived in town for many years before they become a member. Most of the time, women join when they’ve recently had a baby and are looking for new friends in the same situation.

6. When can I join? Is there a cut-off date to register?
Anytime! There is no cut-off date to register. We do go on hiatus in July and August (with the exception of book club), so if you’re looking to sign up in one of these months, it’s best to wait until late August.
